Today we celebrated the first day of November with pumpkin rolls for breakfast.

Today we celebrated. Today we began our seventh year of marriage. Today I drove to Atlanta. Like always. Today we filled up on some amazing barbeque. Today we witnessed some strange road rage. (not from or towards us, thankfully) Today we bought some favorites from Trader Joe's. Today we wore cardigans and jackets. Today we ended our celebration with Belgian Butter Waffle Cookies & Pumpkin milkshakes. Today was a good day.
Today was another lazy day at home.
Today was a cold day, so we decided to hang out at home. Especially since we planned to celebrate our anniversary the next day. Today consisted of two cups of coffee. For both of us. Again. (I'm really loving our Keurig) Today, I did a smidgen of scrapbooking in the afternoon. Today consisted of a long hot bath in the evening. I ended up reading a couple of chapters of The Hobbit, while relaxing. Today, I'm reading The Hobbit. Again. I tell you I'm a creature of habit. Today I captured one of my favorite photos of Bert & I sitting at my desk. He does this every day. He comes into my scrapbook room, he meows until I pay attention to him, then he reaches for me, until I pick him up. It's our thing. He cuddles with me for about fifteen minutes then he's ready to go about his day. I love it. Today was a good day. I have to admit that I failed at taking photos today. Failed. Epically. But that's okay. It speaks to what Wednesday looked like. I literally spent the entire day at home, in my PJs. I worked on homework, lots of homework. Ryan played lots of video games. The cats slept 90% of the day away. The only photos I took were at the end of the night, when we were playing with the cats. They love the feather stick toy and it's hilarious watching them all surround it and make their funny noises and try and beat each other to it. Some of the photos are blurry or out of focus, but I still love each and every one. Click on the photos for a larger view.
I'm back with my second day of Week in the Life. Today consisted of Vet's visits for 2. Chewy's second kitten visit and Bert's annual. Some jogging. Planning a new space for crafting. Grocery shopping (not pictured) and filling up the tank. A great phone call and an appointment made. Some Sunset Overdrive on Xbox One. While it may not seem like a terribly exciting day in general. It did have some exciting points and I'm so glad I have all of these photos to document it.
This is my first time following along with the Week in the Life series by Ali Edwards. I didn't buy a kit. I haven't decided how exactly I'm going to put it into an album, or if I even will. I don't really know. What I do know is that I want to try. I want to see what I can do with this project. I want to see where it takes me. If you're one of my personal friends reading this, you know that I have struggled for about a month with my mojo. I've gone through a change in scrapbooking and I haven't gotten back to where I was before. I can honestly say I have been a prolific scrapbooker from the moment I started, finishing around 5-10 pages a week. Seriously. Now I'm lucky if I finish one a week. Lucky. I started making cards, but got overwhelmed with how many I had and got bored with what I was doing. I fell behind in Project Life... (my behind is it's the end of October & I'm still working in August, some wouldn't say that's behind, but for a prolific scrapper, it is). So I'm taking it upon myself to try something new. Make a new kind of scrapbook. Take different pictures with different kinds of stories and let it inspire me. I'm going to try my best to post my photos from each day. Make myself accountable for the task. So without further ado... here are my photos from day 1! Today consisted of Ryan going to Jury Duty early in the morning and me sleeping in with the kitties. Lots of coffee and homework. We're nearing the end of the semester and apparently it's a thing to make everything due at once. ;) Coffee delivery. Thank goodness. Watching The Walking Dead & Gotham. (we subscribe to TWD via Amazon since we don't do the whole paid television thing and we have Hulu Plus for local channels) Full dishwasher. Video gaming with friends. Naps. Cats. And rereading The Hobbit. Again.
This is the newest addition to our family, Chewy. The first time I saw him I knew he was going to be ours. His sweet little meow, tiny nose, short tail, fuzzy body, everything was perfect. His name started out as Spitzer, because every time we picked him up or tried to pet him he would do this funny little wannabe hiss spit. If you're in anyway familiar with kittens, you know that this is their first reaction to fear. Eventually he started to warm up to us. He stopped spitting and started purring. His hair started growing longer and longer and he started to remind us of Chewbacca, which is where Chewy came from. I've been having issues getting my stories scrapbooked. I've been questioning the way I've been scrapbooking, the subjects, and how I'm telling my stories. So I've worked towards finding a balance. I went back to what initially made me happy when scrapping... stamping, layers, and a tad bit of die-cutting. You'll see in future posts I'm slowly finding my rhythm, even though I've lost my mojo here and there, I'm happier than ever with my pages. I hope you enjoy taking a look at a new page & I hope to be back soon with a new process video.
